A Guide to NMR Studies of Gases Adsorbed in Materials, with Examples on CO₂ Capture

In this zoominar I will introduce methods for carrying out NMR spectroscopy experiments on gas adsorption in porous materials. I will introduce the main approaches that are used for these experiments in the literature, and will give examples from our own research on carbon dioxide capture in metal-organic frameworks. Examples will include solid-state NMR studies of carbon dioxide capture in amine-functionalised MOFs, as well as pulsed-field gradient NMR measurements of anisotropic gas diffusion.
